PI terminology



Terminology often

used in the PI industry



AOE-COE = arising out of employment, course of employment (injury)

claimant = person making a claim, usually for an injury

CNA = customer name & address from a phone number

E&O = Errors and Omissions insurance

roping = a PI causing a claimant to perform physical
activity for the PI to then photograph (do not do!)

subject = a person being investigated

subrosa = an injury-related surveillance

suspect = a person suspected of something

TAT = turn-around-time (how quickly can you get this done)

TSCM = 'de-bugging';
